Kathryn Farley obtained a doctorate in Performance Studies from Northwestern University in 2007, writing a dissertation that investigated the use of digital media tools in performing arts curriculums at the post-secondary level. At Northwestern, she taught undergraduate courses exploring the performance of contemporary drama, the adaptation of fiction and the integration of technology into live theatre. Currently a Marion L. Brittain Postdoctoral Fellow at the Georgia Institute of Technology, Kathryn instructs multimodal communication courses in the School of Literature, Communication and Culture that focus on technology-mediated performance events.
