YOUR GRADES
Grading for the Semester

Because of the client-based approach and the "track" system in this course, the grading may seem more complicated than in other courses you might have taken at Tech. There are four important things to remember about grading in this course:

1) The Track System - Each student in this class will work within a track that determines the kinds of assignments he/she will complete. Know the responsibilities for your particular track and follow the schedule for due dates carefully.

2) Universal Grades - Some assignments and tasks are "universal," which means they will be completed by everyone in the class and graded according to identical standards:

3) Track-specific Grades - Some assignments and tasks are specific to the track to which the student has been assigned. Read the assignment instructions carefully and make certain you understand the specific requirements for the track you have been assigned:

4) The Rubrics - I use two rubrics for grading in this class. You should print them out and study them carefully, as they apply to track applications, proposals, presentations, final projects, and the professionalism grade.
