Accessibility means providing all users with access to all of the information on the website, including those with disabilities.
How is the Career Gateway accessible?
The Career Gateway provides clear, consistent navigation and high-contrast color schemes. We also use the correct tags and attributes all throughout our website, including the forms that you encounter. Finally, we separate content from presentation using well-formed XHTML and CSS.
How do you check for accessibility?
To make sure that the Career Gateway provides accessible content, we try to follow the WCAG 1.0 as closely as possible. The WCAG 1.0 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0) is a set of rules established by the World Wide Web Consortium that are intendend to make web content more accessible.
