Ron Broglio's research focuses on how
philosophy and aesthetics can help us rethink the relationship between
humans and the environment. His book Technologies of the Picturesque:
British Art, Poetry, and Instruments 1750-1830 covers technology
in the British landscape aesthetic. His next book, On the Surface:
Thinking with Animals and Art will be out with University of Minnesota
Press in 2011. Current projects include a dairy cattle art installation
and a book project on British Romantic peasant poetry and agriculture.
