| As Director of the Writing Program in the Department of Literature, Communication, and Culture at Georgia Tech, I work closely with my fellow Coordinators, Lissa Holloway-Attaway and Lisa McNair and with approximately 30 Brittain Fellows and other faculty. The program provides the undergraduate community at Georgia Tech with instruction in argumentation, writing about literature, and technical communication. In additional to traditional essays and technical reports, we introduce students to electronic forms, which are now essential aspects of communication in the workplace and in the academy. Each semester the program offers some 75 sections of Freshmen Writing (Eng 1101 and 1102) to approximately 1875 students and 15 sections of Technical Communication (LCC 3401) to a further 375 students. |
