Project 4: Character Maker Think about what kind of pattern-matching conversational character will sustain the illusion of understanding the interactor. What type of characters are enjoyable to learn more about, to explore a conversation with. Rely on past experiences and characters found within other forms of entertainment, as a means to developing your character type. Do not take another character directly. Download Character Maker, unzip it, and either run the "CMaker.jar" file (on Mac's) or the "Run Character Maker.bat" file (on PCs). Try loading some of the sample characters into Character Maker and play around with the program. Finally create you're own character, including the following: Character name and default image (sketch or describe) Opening line (e.g. Sorry to phone so late. I'm in trouble.) Prompting label for the interactor (e.g. Mom:) 7 key word/response pairs Responses should feed back new possible keywords 7 default statements (when no key word match is found)
