Two Websites I visit frequently are WorldofWarcraft.com and 4chan.org. WorldofWarcraft.com establishes itself as a place for fans of the game with the same name through two of its aspects. The first being its informational database. This database is a very quick and easy way to look up a variety of information concerning the game. The database on the website is much easier to look through than any strategy guide in a book could ever be, due to the hyper links on the website. Unlike books, website links can instantaneously connect you to pages of a similar category from multiple locations. In books, you can only group the information together using one method of sorting. The second important aspect of the website is its forums. These forums are a gathering place for players around the world to interact with one another, Its this feeling of community that helps to further establish the website as a significant "place." Like the database, these forums cannot exist on any other medium. The constant accessibility of the forums and the fact that convorsations are saved enables users to access the forums at their own leisure without missing anything that has been said.

The Second website, 4chan.org, is a glorified forum, sharing the same characteristics of WorldofWarcraft.com, but the subject matter is much different. The range of topics discussed varies anywhere from cars to guns to women, and everything imaginable in-between. These factors make this website a great place to alleviate boredom.
