2700: Project 8: Atari 2600 Video Game
Project
For this project,
we did not have specific roles. Instead we each covered portions
of everything. I created the PowerPoint presentation for our initial
class presentation as well as participating in some of the early
coding. Then as we progressed through the project I researched different
commands that my group members implemented as well as provide suggestions
for improvement.
In addition
I designed and coded each of the three playfields that are used
in our game. The first is three straight bars running across the
top of the screen. The second is a Georgia Tech logo in a merged
‘GT’ format. The third is in the shape of a face. I
then put together the game information together which consists of
the game design, game play, and game controls.
Overall it was
a very informative project and I felt it helped put into perspective
how difficult creating even the simplest game interface can be.
I think the reason our project came out so well is that we met so
frequently. By meeting every night we are able to work in small
parts rather than a large effort crammed at the last minute.
