NOTE: If the background images do not show, look at the SlideShow macro patch (it should be connected to BackgroundSlide and NextSlide). Make sure the folder path points to the folder with the background images in it.

It took me a while to come up with an idea for this project. I came up with a few, but none were very feasible (either limitations in Quartz or me having no clue how to do it). After tinkering with Quartz I finally came up with an idea.
It started off as having one object chase another across the screen. But I did not know what objects to use. So I pushed that aside when I thought of making the background rotate between images. I wanted to give the illusion that this chase was going through multiple environments that have nothing to do with each other (my attempt at humor).
Once that was in place I needed to decide what objects to use. The idea of having the bomb came to me fairly quickly, but what to have it chase was still a mystery. I thought of cars, daffodils, even the sun, but none of those seemed to work. So I thought to myself: "What is something that deserves to flee in terror?" Then it hit me like a sledge hammer to the occipital lobe -- Squeak.
Anyone who has taken that class knows it had this coming. So once I established the pursuit, I felt that some dialogue was needed. A quiet chase is not very enjoyable. So I had the bomb yell nonsense at the Squeak, and the Squeak yelled back about Disney (inside joke relevant to Squeak).
So that was essentially the thought process that went in to making this stellar screensaver. It's so awesome it is guaranteed to create a sovereign nation, or your money back.
