LCC 6650 Project Studio (enrollment in each section by permission of instructor) (required)
At least one of the following courses:
LCC 6310 The Computer as an Expressive Medium 3
LCC 6311 Visual Culture and Design 3
LCC 6312 Design, Technology, and Representation 3
LCC 6313 Principles of Interactive Design 3
LCC 6650 is repeatable; admission to individual sections is by permission of instructor. Up to 6 hours of LCC 6650 can be counted as DM Specialization hours.
Students may fulfill the rest of the requirements with any other LCC 6000 or 8000 level course.
Project (6 semester hours)
HCI/Digital Media students should prepare for their M.S. project by taking a related Project Studio or other course in the Fall semester.
HCI/Digital Media specialization students also have the option of substituting a Digital Media Masters Project for the HCI Project. The Digital Media Masters Project requires a detailed proposal which must be submitted one month before the end of the preceding semester: by October 1 for approval for a Spring semester project. The student then registers for 6 credits of masters project work in the final semester. The Digital Media Masters project requires a detailed design document and a public defense.
