Professional Development
To assist Fellows in moving to tenure-track positions, LCC provides a variety of professional development activities:
- guidelines for building a dossier
- free log-in access to the online MLA job List
- roundtable meetings to discuss job market strategies
- practice job talk opportunities
- mock interview opportunities
- mentoring luncheons held throughout the year during which senior faculty discuss the ways in which they have found institutional and foundation support for their own teaching and research agendas
- a works-in-progress group in which all members of the faculty, including Fellows, present work-in-progress for peer critique
- personal assistance in the development of a teaching dossier including student evaluations and reports of class visits
